Boiling aquarium driftwood will speed up waterlogging and the release of tannins!

A relatively new aquarium hardscape wood, Black Forest Spider Wood is characterized  by its signature dark, charcoal brown  hue . This unique feature  sets it apart from  other aquascaping driftwoods such as normal Spider Wood which  is lighter in color and only  becomes brown in color  once  waterlogged. Black Forest Spider Wood, however, will become darker and darker as time passes. As a result, this  bold  aquarium wood  provides  a much darker-toned and mysterious planted aquarium atmosphere along with beautiful contrast against boldly colored aquatic plants. In addition, this Spider Wood  releases a minimal amount of tannins  that would otherwise  tint  aquarium water for a longer period of time.

Wild twists and turns along with knots define this aquarium wood. Its natural root-like look is commonly sought after by enthusiasts. Black Forest Spider Wood works well on its own as a centerpiece or when complemented with smaller stones at the base of any scape.

These nano pieces of Black Forest Spider Wood are best for aquarium tanks between 2 to 8 gallons or as smaller accents to it's larger pieces.

Measurements:  4" - 10" long

TIP 1:
Usually sinks on its own in 2 weeks  time

TIP 2:  Tannins leeched from wood will provide a natural tint to water, but will gradually dissipate based on the frequency of water changes
