Bucephalandra Brownie Phoenix is a beautiful species of Bucephalandra that offers iridescent, brownish-green pops of color. Its varying hues provide lovely contrast and its slightly ruffled leaves provide texture to a planted aquarium tank. Bucephalandra Brownie Phoenix looks best when placed in the mid-ground of planted aquarium tanks along with other Bucephalandra species that are similar in size.

This aquatic plant prefers low to medium lighting and will grow nice and dense if favorable conditions are provided. CO2 injection along with a good maintenance schedule will promote quicker, more robust growth. The  stem and rhizome should not be covered when planting as this will cause the plant to rot and wither. It is best to attach or wedge Bucephalandra on or between aquarium hardscapes such as aquarium driftwood and aquascaping rocks.
