Bucephalandra Green Wavy, commonly referred to as simply Buce Green Wavy, is a classic species of Bucephalandra commonly seen in the planted aquarium hobby. This variation of Buce is relatively easier to obtain since it is typically farmed instead of collected from the wild now. Buce Green Wavy is an eye-catching specimen, offering rich green leaves with a ruffled shape and smooth texture. Like most Bucephalandra plants, Green Wavy is epiphytic and will grow happily attached to aquarium driftwood or stones in an aquascape layout. Low to medium lighting with partial shade is perfect for most Buce species and while this plant will tolerate other conditions associated with keeping a low-tech aquarium, we highly recommend providing Buce with CO2 injection and a quality source of nutrients to boost growth, help the plant outcompete algae and produce the iridescent hues Bucephalandra are known for.

Overall, Bucephalandra Green Wavy is a suitable plant for most beginner aquarists that have the basics of aquarium keeping down. Buce's stem and rhizome should not be covered or glued when planting as this can cause damage to the plant.
