Bucephalandra Sekadau is a relatively new Bucephalandra species from the Sekadau region in Southeast Asia. At this time, not too much is known about this particular Bucephalandra species. However, it features broader leaves with a prominent center vein sprouting from its rhizome. Bucephalandra Sekadau's overall size and darker green coloration are comparable to Bucephalandra Skeleton King. The form of its leaves categorizes this Buce as a great larger-sized planted aquarium tank addition.
Like other Bucephalandra, Bucephalandra Sekadau is versatile with placement and will grow well when attached to aquarium hardscape such as aquascaping stones and aquarium driftwood. Bucephalandra prefers lower lighting, substantial flow and will grow nice and dense if favorable conditions are provided. While CO2 injection is not required, the use of it helps promote quicker growth and lovely coloration. The stem and rhizome should not be covered when planting and over-gluing of roots will be extremely detrimental to its growth and survival.
