Bucephalandra sp. Sekadau Giant Blue

Bucephalandra may not be the first plant that comes to mind when thinking about beginner-friendly aquarium plants, but it's on par with Anubias and Java Ferns! Buce for short, these aquatic rhizomes often feature iridescent leaves and are very easy to care for. They grow well in low lighting and come in a variety of sizes that are great for nano tanks or larger aquariums.

While Bucephalandra is very forgiving, their growth and appearance is noticeabley different (in a good way) when you get the hang of caring for them. When happy and healthy, Bucephalandra easily becomes a focal point in a planted tank and it becomes easy to understand why so many aquarium hobbyists love these plants. While there is little specific information on sp. Sekadau Giant Blue, we imagine this aquarium epiphyte could very well surprise you and become one of your favorites.
