Bucephalandra Velvet 3 Color is a beautiful variation of Bucephalandra. This species ranges from a small to medium size and offers varying color tones and slender, ruffled foliage. Like most Bucephalandra, Buce Velvet 3 Color can be grown in aquarium settings as well as hybrid planted setups such as paludariums, vivariums, terrariums and more as long as sufficient humidity and transitional care is provided. When grown in the aquarium, we recommend CO2 injection, good flow and a quality source of nutrition to promote healthy growth and produce the iridescent qualities Buce is known and loved for in the aquarium hobby.

Buce Velvet 3 Color is an epiphytic plant and like most aroids, sprouts new leaves along its rhizome. Propagation can be done by separating the plant along the rhizome. We recommend placing Buce within the cracks of a hardscape layout or attaching the plant to porous surfaces such as aquarium driftwood. Overall, Buce is generally perceived as beginner-friendly as it is fairly hardy and will adapt to most conditions.
