We do our best to thoroughly clean and inspect all plants prior to shipment but cannot guarantee lead bunch or potted plants to be free from snails and/or algae. Not your thing? Tissue culture plants are cultivated in sterile lab settings ensuring your plant is free from pests, snails and algae! These are young specimen that are grown in emersed forms. Gel should always be removed prior to planting.

LIVE PLANTS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO STRESS AND DAMAGE FROM TRANSIT - This may appear in the form of minimal melt, leaf loss, cosmetic damage, etc. Refunds or replacements will not be issued for plants with viable root systems or that die out of our care.

Ceratophyllum Demersum, more commonly known as Hornwort or Coontail, is a favorite amongst a variety of aquarium keepers. This aquatic plant species features fluffy foliage that produces a feathery appearance when used in the aquarium. Hornwort is more commonly seen in breeding projects as the plant is a free-floating species and provides valuable refuge for shrimplets and small fry. However, it can be planted like other aquatic stem plants and will certainly provide unique texture and bright color to the nature aquarium. Ceratophyllum Demersum is a prolific grower, so regular maintenance will be necessary to ensure the desired look is maintained.

Care is simple - another reason this plant is loved by both breeders and beginner hobbyists alike. It is a fairly tolerant species and will adapt to a wide range of aquarium conditions. We recommend low to medium lighting and consistent aquarium maintenance habits as a baseline.
