Cryptocoryne Becketii is a popular Crypt plant that makes a beautiful mid-ground accent or centerpiece. It is characterized by reddish, ruffle-textured, oblong leaves and it offers great contrast to green plants that are also present in any aquascape.  Although it is easier to grow  submerged, it will also grow emersed and can produce flowers above the water.  Low to moderate lighting is sufficient and CO2 isn't required, but aids in speeding up the plant's growth.

Cryptocoryne Becketii propagates through runners that can be cut and replanted into the substrate if desired. For good coverage, plant individual stems about one inch apart.
