Echinodorus Gabrielii is an interesting Amazon Sword plant! Unlike most Echinodorus, E. Gabrielii exhibits low and compact growth, a trait uncommon to this family of aquatic plants. Its leaves are fleshy, rich green and have a rougher texture, making a great plant choice in an aquarium that may contain herbivorous livestock. To maintain Echinodorus Gabrielii's growth pattern, medium to higher lighting should be provided along with a nutritious substrate that contains necessary macro and micronutrients. Other than this, Echinodorus Gabrielii is fairly easy going and will readily adapt to a range of aquarium conditions. CO2 injection with Amazon Swords is not necessary, but the addition of it will help boost growth rates, improve color and overall plant health.
