Echinodorus Reni is a common, well-known species in the Echinodorus aquatic plant family. This aquarium plant exhibits an easy-going nature and is safely one of the smallest red-toned Echinodorus species available in the aquarium hobby ranging from 5-10 inches tall. Similar to other reddish hued Echinodorus, Echinodorus Reni also offers a bold reddish-brown tone that would look beautiful in any planted aquarium tank while providing lovely contrast when used strategically with placement. Like other aquatic sword species, Echinodorus Reni is not too picky but does require a nutritious aquarium soil intended for aquatic plant propagation along with sufficient aquarium LED lighting. CO2 injection is not required but will help boost growth and overall health! Aside from this, Echinodorus species are fairly tolerable of varying water parameters in a planted aquarium tank.
Pruning should be done frequently depending on the size desired and to ensure other aquarium plant species are not shaded from lighting.
Propagation is simple. Separate and replant.
