Eleocharis Parvula is a staple aquarium plant in the planted tank hobby. A low-growing Eleocharis species, this form of hair grass is a perfect foreground aquatic plant that will readily form a carpet in your aquascape layout. Once established in an aquarium, Eleocharis Parvula is a prolific grower and spreads quickly via runners. Because of this, hair grass is notorious for spreading to unwanted areas in the aquarium, making routine maintenance crucial if a specific look is desired.
To plant, gently separate the plant into small portions and plant each portion an inch or so apart half way into the substrate.
