Ludwigia White is a variant of the Ludwigia aquatic plant family. This particular species is still relatively new to the planted aquarium tank hobby and can be difficult to find. If found, Ludwigia White, also known as Ludwigia White Edge, has proven to be a difficult species of Ludwigia to keep and grow properly. Because of this, this aquatic plant is suitable for experienced hobbyists. Ludwigia White requires a nutrient-rich substrate, CO2 injection, quality aquarium lighting, and balanced levels of fertilizers to grow properly. Although Ludwigia White is difficult to propagate, patience is generously rewarded. Its coloration is extremely unique and the addition of this aquatic plant to a planted tank would be quite a sight to see. Like all Ludwigia species, this aquatic plant can be grown submerged or emersed and both methods result in completely different appearances. If grown properly, propagation is easy. Simply cut the stems and replant them into a quality substrate.
