Pacific Wood, also known as Horn Wood, is similar in texture and color palette to a popular counterpart, Malaysian Driftwood. This natural driftwood is easy to handle and provides a great foundation for creating unique aquascape layouts in nano aquariums. Pacific Wood's characteristic grooves are perfect for growing epiphytic aquatic plants such as Anubias, Bucephalandra and aquatic ferns while its rich brown tone contrasts well against other aquatic plant species! This aquarium driftwood also offers a smoother texture, when compared to sharper driftwoods, making it a safer choice for fragile-finned livestock such as Betta Fish.
Aquarium driftwood is well-known for having a buoyant nature making it essential to ensure wood pieces are fully waterlogged prior to use. Pacific Wood is naturally denser and reduces time needed for water-logging, making it a top contender for impatient aquascapers or last minute projects! Pacific Wood is overall a solid scaping material and a team favorite!
