Philodendron Bippenifolium is a unique Philodendron species that is well-known for its unusual leaf shape. Sometimes referred to as the Violin Philodendron, Fiddleleaf or Horsehead Philodendron, P. Bipennifolium features large silvery-green foliage that is sure to stand out in any houseplant collection. This tropical aroid does best in warmer climates and should be kept away from colder areas and drafts. Like other rare aroids, Philodendron Bipennifolium should be planted in airy substrate that provides good drainage and placed in environments that offer higher humidity levels, if possible.

In the wild, Philodendron are fantastic climbers and will appreciate a sturdy moss pole to climb on and traverse. When provided with optimal conditions, Philodendron put out aerial roots that may be air-layered for safe propagation once mature. Pruning does not need to be frequent, but older leaves or foliage with visible damage can be removed to encourage new growth.
