Philodendron Giganteum Variegated is a beautiful plant! This particular species is known for its massive size in the wild and its leaves can grow up to 3-4 feet in length with an average span of 3 feet in width when conditions are optimal. Like most Philodendron species, Philodendron Giganteum Variegated is a climbing aroid but can be maintained and kept bushy with consistent trimming when necessary. Colors vary and each leaf produced will display different markings, striations and patterns making it a unique addition to any plant collection. This tropical aroid does best in warmer climates and should be kept away from colder areas and drafts. Like other rare aroids, Philodendron Giganteum Variegated will appreciate an environment that is richer in humidity, if possible.

In the wild, Philodendron are fantastic climbers and will appreciate a sturdy moss pole to climb on and traverse. When provided with optimal conditions, Philodendron put out aerial roots that may be air-layered for safe propagation once mature. Pruning does not need to be frequent, but older leaves or foliage with visible damage can be removed to encourage new growth.
