Like other forms of Philodendron, Philodendron Tortum will appreciate increased humidity levels and warmer weather. Growing medium should be well-aerated and include a variety of organic and inorganic materials such as sphagnum, orchid bark, charcoal, perlite, coco coir and more commonly used ingredients. We recommend providing Philodendron Tortum with bright, indirect lighting. This can be in the form of indoor lighting with units like the ONF Aditya Plant Lamp or in a southern exposure. East-facing windows are good too along with western exposures, but the plant should be monitored to ensure lighting is not excessively direct as this may result in damage or burning of the plant. Pruning does not need to be frequent, but older leaves or foliage with visible damage can be removed to encourage new growth.
