Pogostemon Deccanensis is a beautiful aquarium stem plant that is still relatively new in the hobby. Similar to Pogostemon Erectus, Pogostemon Deccanensis offers a delicate touch to the midground or background of planted aquarium tanks. Pogostemon Deccanensis is characterized by needle-like, thin leaves that are light green in coloration. Like most aquarium stem plants, Pogostemon Deccanensis does best when provided with quality aquarium LED lighting, CO2 injection, nutrient-dense aquarium soil, and a fertilizing routine.

When planting Pogostemon Deccanensis, care should be taken to ensure space is left in between to ensure lower levels of the aquatic stem receive adequate lighting. If optimal conditions are provided, frequent trimming will be required to ensure Pogostemon Deccanensis is kept tidy. Pruning will also encourage bushy growth!
