Originating from South America, Sagittaria Subulata makes a great aquatic foreground plant for its compact growth and undemanding nature. Frequent pruning is needed as this aquatic plant has the capability to grow quite tall if left unchecked. Quite often it will also send long shoots to the surface of the water and produce small white flowers above the surface.

Sagittaria Subulata grows by spreading runners horizontally throughout the substrate. It is not a fussy plant in terms of lighting or CO2 injection. Propagation is simple, trim portions from of horizontal shoots and replant.
