Shinnersia Rivularis, also known as Mexican Oakleaf, is a stem plant that is native to the southern parts of North America and can also be found in Central America. This aquarium stem plant is usually found with lime green leaves and reddish-brown or rust colored leaves under intense lighting. Foliage is uniquely shaped with distinct venation that can't be found on any other aquatic stem plant in the hobby. Shinnersia Rivularis is the perfect stem plant addition to those who are looking to add some uniqueness or to collect one of the fewer American native plants in a planted aquarium tank.
